Our Counselors are:

Certified Addiction Treatment Counselors – They have completed (or are working towards completion of) education and training which gives them professional skills for working effectively with youth and families.

People with a strong personal commitment to Recovery, who model the drug-free lifestyle we encourage youth to choose.

Consejeros Certificados en Tratamiento de Adicciones - Ellos han completado (o están trabajando para completar) la educación y entrenamiento que les da técnicas profesionales para trabajar efectivamente con jóvenes y familias.

VICTOR CISNEROS, CATC: Victor works in the communities of Santa Paula, Fillmore, Moorpark and Oxnard. He specializes in working with gang-involved teens, to give them the support they need to change their lifestyle.

MARTHA CASTANEDA, CATC. Martha currently works with the families of students referred to her through Pacifica High School in Oxnard. She also leads a training program for parents called "Parent Project".

GABE TERAN, CATC. Gabe is currently the youth intervention counselor assigned to a Prevention/Intervention Project at Pacifica High School. He also does many school and community presentations on substance abuse issues..

MARY LOU ESCOTO. Mary Lou is experienced in case management and family intervention, and is also a "Parent Project" trainer. She works with the families and with youth in Oxnard and Camarillo.

JOHN RIVERA, CATC. John is currently working in a collaborative program with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Oxnard and Port Hueneme and other agencies, serving youth confined to the Ventura County Juvenile Justice Center and following up with them after they are released.

TRACY OPP, CATC. Tracy works with a Police Officer and Probation Officer in the Gang Violence Prevention Project in the cities of Santa Paula and Fillmore. This is an innovative program giving intensive attention to very high-risk youth.

JANET PERALTA. Janet provides early intervention counseling to youth and families cited for truancy in Oxnard schools. She works with School Resource Police Officers at the STOP Center in Oxnard.

PATTY WALLACE, CATC. Patty works in the communities of Moorpark, Thousand Oaks, Camarillo, Oxnard and Ventura. She is skilled in building rapport with teens and their parents.

SUSAN ESCOTO. Susan is based at the Santa Paula Family Resource Center. She works with many pre-teens and younger teens to turn them away from substance abuse before they establish regular use patterns.
